About Us
St. Louis Learning Disabilities Association, Inc. (LDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the understanding and acceptance of learning disabilities. Education, support, and consultation are provided to children, parents, and professionals to help children reach their full potential.
Since LDA opened its office in 1993, education and support has been offered to more than 75,000 children and their families.
We provide observation, consultation and diagnostic testing to determine whether learning disabilities exist.
We consult with parents to direct them to available information and resources.
We provide advocacy for you in IEP and 504 planning sessions to ensure your child gets the support he or she needs.
We provide one-on-one tutoring and study skills classes to teach compensatory skills and reinforce classroom lessons.
We work closely with school counselors, teachers, administrators, parents, and physicians to ensure optimum learning opportunities for every child who learns differently.
We conduct seminars and workshops for parents, teachers and other professionals to help them understand the nature of learning disabilities and ADHD.
We are the only organization in the greater St. Louis community providing a full range of services to parents, professionals, and individuals with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. Our staff includes many of the most experienced, qualified tutors and learning specialists in the region.
