OUR MISSION
OUR MISSION
We Believe That Change Is Possible And Can Happen Against All Odds
A Personalized Approach That Works
No two learners are the same, and neither are our solutions. We work closely with students and families to develop a customized plan that may include:
- Comprehensive educational testing
- One-on-one tutoring
- Parent coaching and advocacy
- Early childhood outreach
- Workshops for educators and professionals
Together, we help uncover each student’s unique learning profile and equip them—and the people around them—with the tools to succeed.
We understand what you’re going through because we’ve been there.
St. Louis LDA was founded by families, for families. In 1967, a group of concerned parents and professionals came together to ensure children with learning differences had the support they needed. Since then, we’ve grown from living room meetings to a thriving nonprofit that’s impacted more than 300,000 children, parents, and educators in the greater St. Louis area.
We became an independent nonprofit in 2003, and today, we continue our mission from our home in Ballwin, Missouri—still fully funded by individuals, corporations, and private foundations who believe in our work.
Our Mission
To provide children with hope, understanding, and compassion—so they can reach their full potential.
Our Vision
To remain the preeminent resource and service provider in the St. Louis region, empowering students, parents, educators, and professionals through expert observation, consultation, and diagnostic services.
Help Us Make a Difference
As one of the only organizations in the greater St. Louis community providing a comprehensive range of services to children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, learning differences, autism, their parents and teachers, St. Louis LDA is funded solely by individuals, corporations, and private foundations.
