Elementary, middle, high school and college students with or without a diagnosis of a learning disability or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may need additional help to acquire learning techniques and to transfer those skills to the classroom so they may become independent learners.
St. Louis LDA offers one-on-one tutoring programs during both the academic year and during the summer for students who need to learn strategies and compensatory skills in order to be successful in a traditional classroom. Individually designed programs focus on remediating a child’s skills; however, reinforcement of daily lessons and pre-teaching of new material is also included. Our tutoring staff are all certified special educators who are matched with students based on your child’s specific strengths and weaknesses.
Tutors work one-on-one with your student for 50 minutes, two times per week - either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. There is a standard fee for each session, all of which are held at our office. Download a Tutoring brochure.

What Parents Are Saying About Our One-On-One Tutoring
"He went from hating school to a straight A student - no more frustration." "At college my son would invariably get a B in one class and flunk the other class. He had no idea how to talk to his professors or figure out if he really understood the assignment. He has made great progress in recognizing that he really never understands the assignment and he must always clarify with his instructors. He did very well this semester. He go three As." "My daughter advocates better for herself and participates in class more due to more confidence. She is having success in math, where her LD is and overall success in her classes."
